New record of Toshakhana released; top politicians, officers among recipients

Fresh list from Oct to Dec 25 includes gifts received by dozens of top political and state officeholders: All recipients deposited the gifts in the Toshakhana; valuation process underway

The Cabinet Division has released the Toshakhana record for the October to December 2025 quarter, detailing foreign gifts received by President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and several other high-ranking officials.

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the list also includes the names of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) Chairman MNA Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, the First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and other prominent figures.

According to the record, those who received foreign gifts during the quarter include IT Minister Shaza Fatima, Power Minister Awais Leghari, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Ahad Cheema, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, Information Minister Ata Tarar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi, the President’s Military Secretary, the President’s Spokesperson, the Ministers of State for Railways and Finance, Musharraf Zaidi, the Auditor-General of Pakistan, DG Minerals Dr Nawaz Ahmed Virk, the Secretary of Economic Affairs, the Secretary of IT, the ADC to the President and others.

The list describes that gifts received between October and December included models of Roza-e-Rasool (SAW), the Kaaba and Masjid al-Haram, along with paintings, perfumes, shields, carpets, tea sets, swords, daggers, vases, watches, decorative items, Saudi coffee, books, a royal cap, souvenirs, table clocks, a model of the metro bus, qahwa pots, shirts, musical instruments, blankets, scarves, ties and various other items.

It further states that all recipients deposited their gifts in the Toshakhana during the October-December 2025 period, and the Cabinet Division is currently carrying out the valuation process.

Earlier, the Shehbaz Sharif government had already made public the Toshakhana record from 2002 to September 2025, while the record from 1997 to 2001 had also been released previously.
