Punjab imposes immediate ban on tree felling and trimming in Lahore
The Punjab government has issued an immediate ban on the felling and trimming of trees across Lahore, authorities confirmed Monday.
The Horticulture Agency Lahore stated that unauthorised cutting or pruning of any tree is strictly prohibited.
Even minor trimming will require prior written permission, officials added.
Raja Mansoor Ahmed, Managing Director of the Horticulture Agency, has ordered strict implementation of the ban, instructing all directors and field staff to remain vigilant.
Authorities warned that legal action will be taken against anyone violating the orders to ensure the protection of trees in the city.
