Maryam urges institutions to accept Nawaz’s narrative
says govt levelled wrong corruption charges against members of Sharif family
PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz has said that the position of PTI looks very weak in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, foreseeing her party’s win in the upcoming AJK elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
She said if the country wanted to achieve success, then the institutions should accept Nawaz Sharif’s narrative. “Nawaz is the son of this soil and he is patriotic,” she added. She maintained that soon all would use the same jargon as was used by their leader.
Maryam was addressing a public rally in connection with the AJK election in Leepa, Azad Kashmir on Monday. Seeing people’s enthusiasm, she said it looked like that the Lion (election symbol of her party) was again coming to the valley. She said the Kashmiri blood was running through her veins. She asked the thieves of flour and sugar to let the nation alone. She said that Kashmiris’ livelihood was not in the federal government’s hands, it’s in the hands of God. She was of the view that if Kashmiris got funds from the federal budget, it was their right.
She said she would not let anyone to snatch Kashmiris’ rights. She said last time the Kashmiri soldiers got pay raise, it was in Nawaz Sharif’s tenure. She stated whenever the defence budget increased, it was increased in Nawaz’s stint. She flayed Imran Khan government for not raising the emoluments of the soldiers.
Maryam lambasted government over inflation. She said the lifesaving drug, insulin, used to be sold at Rs400, now it was being sold at Rs1,100.
Maryam told her Kashmiri supporters that she had heard that Prime Minister Imran Khan was coming there to beg for votes. She told them to attend Imran’s election campaigns and asked him if he had come there to snatch their right. She further told her rally participants to ask the PM if he would also make them stand in long queues for one kilo of sugar.
She said there was a party which was expert in stealing the ballots. They not only bring down the RDS data collection system during elections, but they abduct the entire election commission staff.
She castigated the federal government over extensive use of official resources in the AJK elections. She held that the federal ministers were caught red-handed while distributing money. She exhorted the Kashmiris that they should let the federal government know that they were not for sale.
She maintained that the position of PTI was weak in the AJK. She was of the view that the courts betrayed the position of ‘thief screamers’. She said that Imran was a coward and could not face Nawaz Sharif in political field. She maintained that the government could not prove any corruption case against Nawaz and Shehbaz Sharif. She further said no corruption charges were also proved against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Hamza Shehbaz.
She said the government had to bring in sacks of money to defeat Nawaz Sharif. She stated that the PML-N knew how to retrieve the stolen seats.
She said she was the first woman who was incarcerated in NAB’s cell and also spent three months in the death cell of Kot Lakhpat Jail. She reminisced that she was told by the NAB people if she did not utter harsh words then she could have avoided the punishment. But she told them that once she was set free, she would again say the same things.
Maryam said Imran had levelled wrong corruption charges against the members of Sharif family asking the PM to seek forgiveness from Allah.
She promised her supporters in the valley that she would talk to Nawaz on the issue of building a tunnel in AJK.
