Federal Minister Anti-Narcotics Nawabzada Shah Zain Bugti has said that gas companies are exploiting local people and he has complained to the prime minister about them, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The minister visited the protest camp set up for the restoration of Sun quota in front of the main gate of Oil and Gas Development Company office in Pir Koh on Tuesday. 

Talking to protesters, Mr Bugti said that gas companies were manipulation local people and he had informed Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of their exploitation. 

The minister assured the protesters that he would soon hold meetings with the petroleum minister, petroleum secretary, and managing directors of all gas companies and would talk to them on this issue. 

He expressed his dissatisfaction over the quality of ongoing development projects in Pir Koh saying that he had ordered deputy commissioners of the concerned areas to launch inquiries into them. 

On the use of narcotics, Mr Bugti said that a crackdown against the dope dealers was going on across the country.
