Four soldiers martyred as terrorists storm Zhob Cantonment

Three terrorists also killed: Five more troops injured critically: Five injured civilians including woman and girl referred to Quetta

At least four security personnel were martyred and nine others including civilians were injured when terrorists stormed Zhob Cantonment, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The terrorists armed with heavy weapons targeted a checkpost inside Zhob Cantonment after entering the premises from the FC mess side. In the ensuing gunbattle, three terrorists were also killed.

Five security men were also critically injured in the shootout while five civilians including a woman were also wounded.

The civilians were caught in the gunbattle as bullets hit a passenger bus and a car passing through a nearby highway. Civil Hospital sources told the media that a woman, a little girl and a driver were among the injured.

The injured troops were rushed to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Zhob while the wounded civilians were referred to Quetta for treatment.

The security forces are continuing with the operation against the terrorists.
