Following the tragic deaths of actresses Ayesha Khan and Humaira Asghar Ali, whose dead bodies were discovered from their apartments after months of passing, showbiz community has decided to take an outstanding initiative by creating a WhatsApp group aiming to have checks on each other and provide mental support particularly to those who are living in isolation, away from families.
Popular actress Tuba Anwar appeared in a candid session where she disclosed that a WhatsApp group has been launched by Pakistani showbiz stars, adding all the media personalities in order to keep a check on each other.
The purpose of this group is to collectively monitor each other's mental health and well-being. This initiative underscores the importance of mental health awareness and support within the entertainment community.
“In the group, we decided to mark attendance weekly to identify if everyone is okay. Things are going well with each other. The group would be a safe space for everyone where they can discuss any sort of issues, including financial, domestic, etc.”
“We didn’t want to lose someone again without knowing they were slipping away,” said Tuba while lamenting the recent loss of two actresses, which has sent shockwaves everywhere.
“It is very important to stay connected with friends, particularly for those who are alone in different cities.”
