Faysal Shahzad drops a surprising story about Mikaal Zulfiqar
Pakistani actor Faysal Shahzad has shared a surprising story from the early days of his career, recalling an experience with actor Mikaal Zulfiqar that left a lasting impression on him.
According to Faysal, Mikaal declined to rehearse a scene with him before their first shoot, an experience that later became an important lesson in professionalism.
Speaking in a recent video, Faysal recalled that he was informed before filming that his first scene would be with Mikaal Zulfiqar.
As it was his first day on set and he was about to work with a well-known actor, he admitted feeling both nervous and excited.
According to Faysal, shortly before the shoot, Mikaal Zulfiqar's manager approached him and asked him to rehearse the dialogue.
Surprised, Faysal asked why Mikaal himself was not rehearsing the scene. He said the manager explained that he would first work with new actors before they performed scenes with Mikaal.
Reflecting on the experience, Faysal said he later realized that every actor has a different way of working. He understood that experienced actors often have their own professional routines and approaches to preparing for scenes.
Sharing the lesson he learned from that day, Faysal wrote, "That experience taught me a valuable lesson: professionalism isn't about controlling how others work, it's about being prepared no matter what situation you're put in. The only thing you can truly control is your own preparation."
He added that the incident changed the way he looks at his profession.
Rather than expecting others to work in a certain way, he now believes actors should always be fully prepared for every situation.
Faysal also encouraged aspiring performers to remain ready for every opportunity, saying that preparation and professionalism are ultimately the keys to growth in the entertainment industry.
