IWT issue: PPP stage mass demonstrations across Sindh on Bilawal's call
The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) staged protest demonstrations across Sindh, including Larkana, against a violation of the Indus Water Treaty, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.
According to the report, a large number of party workers took part in rallies organised in Shikarpur, Mirpur Mathelo, Tharparkar and Jacobabad. The demonstrations were held following calls by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and senior party leader Nisar Khuhro.
Major protest marches were organised in support of Sindh's water rights. In Mirpur Mathelo, participants marched from Bhittai Chowk to Ghanta Ghar, while in Jacobabad the rally began at Jakhrani House and concluded at the Press Club. Similar demonstrations were also held in Shikarpur and Tharparkar.
Carrying banners and placards, protesters marched through the streets before gathering outside local press clubs, where they staged sit-ins and demanded the protection of Sindh's water rights.

PPP rally participants raised the slogan of 'Merso, Merso, Sindhu, Na Deso'. PPP Sindh President Nisar Ahmed announced holding a rally across Sindh.

Protestors said India is violating the Indus Water Treaty, and we want to show the world that India is committing terrorism.
