The administration of the Governor House in Lahore has said that they have not been informed of any timeframe for the oath-taking ceremony of the new provincial ministers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

“Two days ago, a phone call from the chief minister’s secretariat informed us to be ready for the swearing-in ceremony of the new provincial ministers,” said the administration at the Governor House.

“If the new ministers are to be sworn in today, preparations for their oath-taking ceremony will be completed within two hours,” they stated, asserting that they had not been notified in writing about the oath-taking ceremony so far.

“The swearing-in ceremony is not in the schedule of the Punjab governor’s today’s engagements,” they declared.

PTI decides to sit on opposition benches

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will sit on the opposition benches for the first time during the tenure of the current government on Monday (tomorrow).

The PTI has framed a strategy for full-scale protest in the budget session.

A notification of the Leader of the Opposition will be issued before the budget session.

The PTI parliamentary party will meet shortly. The meeting will be attended by the PTI’s ally Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q). The meeting will also be attended by former ministers.
