Another tunnel has been caught before action on investigations into oil theft in the Pak-Arab Refinery Company Limited (Parco), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

A case has been registered in the Steel Town police station on the complaint of Parco Assistant Security Officer Rafique against the unknown suspects for attempting to steal oil.

“The underground pipeline of Parco leads from Port Qasim to Machhi. My supervisor informed me that a tunnel is suspected in KM 008 VOP area,” the text of the case read.

“We immediately reached the spot with our team and police officials and found two rooms built within a boundary wall,” it added.

“On checking, we found there a five-foot wide, five-foot long and 10-foot deep pit. Moreover, there was a three-foot wide, three-foot deep and 12-foot long tunnel inside the pit,” it stated.

“To hide the tunnel, a wooden slab was placed on it. The tunnel led towards the pipeline of our company, and it was 280 feet away from our pipeline,” it maintained.

Police launched investigations.
