Balochistan to receive Rs673b under NFC award in current FY2025-26

Balochistan will receive Rs673 billion under the NFC award in the current fiscal year 2025-26, government sources say. 

Balochistan will receive only Rs 6 billion additional from federal revenue under the NFC award this year until June 30, the end of the fiscal year. 

The additional amount received compared to the projected figure in the previous fiscal year 2024-25 was around Rs 38 billion. 

In the past, the revenue from gas royalty and development surcharge was shown separately in the federal budget. However, for the first time, the revenue from both the sections has been shown together in this budget. 

By combining the two sections, it is not possible to estimate the increase or decrease in direct transfers from the gas sections.
