Gold price in Pakistan registers Rs4,000 jump
Gold price in Pakistan registered big increase on Thursday as 24-karat gold value reached record Rs356,900 per tola, up Rs4,000.
According to rates shared by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, 24-karat gold per 10-gram was sold at Rs305,984 after a gain of Rs3,687. The price of 22-karat gold was also quoted higher at Rs280,495 per 10-gram.
On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged in the domestic market, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs3,745 per tola and Rs3,210 per 10-gram.
Gold prices climbed on Thursday in the wake of escalating tensions in the Middle East, a weaker US dollar, and softer-than-expected U.S. inflation data.
