‘She made my career possible’, Nida Yasir pays emotional tribute to househelp
Pakistani television host Nida Yasir became emotional on live television as she announced the passing of her longtime househelp, a woman she credited as an indispensable part of her family and career journey.
Speaking during her morning show, Nida struggled to hold back tears while remembering the woman, affectionately named Iqbala, who had been by her side for years and played a major role in caring for her children and managing household responsibilities.

“I did not have the courage to do today’s show in this way. A very important part of our lives, our ‘Iqbala’, whom I often mentioned, is no longer with us. When I started doing this show, my children were very young. She had a huge role in taking care of my home, my children, and ultimately my career. Had she not been there, perhaps I would never have been able to come to work every morning without worries. She handled so many of my household responsibilities. Please keep her in your prayers. She is no longer with us; she has passed away.”
Nida paid a heartfelt tribute to the woman who stood beside her family through the years, revealing that Iqbala's unwavering dedication gave her the peace of mind to focus on her professional commitments while knowing her children were being cared for at home.
The host expressed immense gratitude for her years of service, affection, and loyalty, describing her as a pillar of support during some of the most important phases of her life.
