Pak Army launches plantation campaign in South Waziristan

In a joint venture, Pak Army and Forest Department launched a plantation campaign in South Waziristan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Many renowned personalities, members of local government, teachers, and students also participated in the plantation drive.

As per the information, there is a large amount of forest in South Waziristan, almost on the area of 95,000 acres.

However, on the land of 120 acres, in replace of some useless trees, planting of 50,000 Chilghoza saplings has been started which could provide the benefit of almost 1,000,000 per year to the country.

Moreover, almost 70,000 trees have also been freely transplanted by the Pakistan Army in olive forests.
