Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi pays tribute to Security Forces for successful Jafar Express Operation

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the security forces for their swift and professional response in rescuing all hostages from the Jafar Express attack and eliminating all 33 terrorists involved in the deadly assault.

In a statement, Naqvi commended the professionalism of the armed forces, highlighting their utmost caution in ensuring the safety of women and children held hostage.

Expressing deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives, Naqvi mourned the 21 passengers who were killed by terrorist gunfire. He also paid tribute to the four martyred Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers, acknowledging their bravery and sacrifice.

"Our sympathies are with the families of the martyrs and the injured. Every citizen is heartbroken by this tragic incident," Naqvi said, adding that using women and children as human shields was an inhumane and despicable act.

Call for a Stronger Crackdown on Terrorism

The Interior Minister vowed to eradicate terrorism, stating that terrorists are a burden on the country and that their facilitators will also be dealt with an iron fist.

"Our brave security forces have thwarted the nefarious plans of the terrorists and ensured they met a tragic end. With the support of the nation, it is time to eliminate this scourge once and for all," he added.
