A Special Central court in Lahore issued the written verdict of April 27 hearing of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz in the Rs16 billion money laundering case in which it has been decided to continue the trial despite the plea by FIA Special Prosecutor Sikander Zulqarnain Saleem, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
A Special Central Lahore court has ordered PM Shehbaz and Punjab CM Hamza to appear before the court at all costs.
The written verdict said that Lahore Special Court would indict Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz on May14 and both should ensure their appearance before the court at the next hearing.
As per media reports, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Wednesday decided not to prosecute Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz in the money laundering case just three days before a special Lahore court was scheduled to frame charges against the N leaders.
Earlier this week, FIA former director Mohammad Rizwan, who probed the charges against Shehbaz and his son, died of a heart attack.
