Pakistan to mark May 10 as Day of Marka-e-Haq every year

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on Monday that Pakistan would celebrate May 10 every year as Day of Marka-e-Haq.

According to a press release issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Sharif the day would be marked with the spirit of national unity. He said that valiant armed forces of Pakistan displayed exceptional skill and made the entire nation proud. He announced that Friday (May 16) would be celebrated as a day of gratitude and the armed forces of Pakistan would be paid tributes on this day for achieving a marvelous victory in the war against India on the border.

Package for Martyrs

The prime minister also announced that family of every Pakistani citizen who was martyred in the Indian missile strikes would be given Rs10 million and those who received wounds in these attacks would get a financial assistance of Rs1 to Rs 2 million. The families of the martyred soldiers of the Pakistan Army will receive a financial assistance of Rs10 million to Rs1.8 million. Also, families of the martyrs would get Rs19 million to Rs42 million for home construction.
