Cambridge investigating paper leak allegations, students urged to avoid rumours

The head of Cambridge International Education in Pakistan has said that all allegations regarding examination paper leaks are being thoroughly investigated, while urging students and parents to avoid spreading or believing unverified rumors circulating on social media.

Cambridge Country Head Uzma Yousaf stated that the examination body takes all reports related to alleged paper leaks seriously and is currently examining the incidents in coordination with relevant investigative agencies.

However, she clarified that Cambridge does not publicly comment on individual reports or allegations concerning examination papers during the investigation process.

“Schools are informed in a timely manner whenever there is a genuine issue,” Uzma Yousaf said, adding that Cambridge also provides recommendations and guidance to educational institutions to ensure that examinations are conducted fairly and transparently.

The Cambridge official said that students should rely only on official statements issued by Cambridge and avoid trusting information shared through unofficial channels, particularly on social media platforms.

She warned that false or misleading information could create unnecessary panic among students and negatively impact their preparation and mental well-being during the examination season.

Uzma Yousaf also advised students and parents not to fall prey to scammers who exploit rumours of paper leaks for financial gain or online fraud. She stressed that many fake claims are spread online to mislead students and families.

The Cambridge Country Head urged the public to refrain from circulating paper leak rumours without verification, noting that such speculation can damage the credibility of the examination process and create confusion among candidates.

According to Cambridge officials, relevant investigative agencies are examining the reported incidents, while the examination body continues to monitor the situation closely.

The statement comes amid growing concern among students and parents following widespread social media claims regarding alleged leaks of examination papers during the ongoing assessment season.
