Govt teacher among four arrested for smuggling drugs in Jacobabad
Police, with the coordination of law-enforcement agencies (LEAs), have thwarted an attempt to smuggle drugs and arrested four people, including a government teacher from Jacobabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to details, after receiving credible secret information, a police team, along with other law-enforcement agencies personnel, intercepted a white-coloured vehicle bearing a government registration number.
During detailed checking, the police recovered two kilograms of hashish, 13 sacks of betel nuts, and five sacks of gutka.
Police arrested all the accused, including government teacher Saifullah Soomro, Abdul Samad Lohar, Safiullah Mehar, and Anwar Mehar.
Police further revealed that the accused were involved in smuggling narcotics from Balochistan to Punjab in a government vehicle bearing a government number plate.
Police registered two cases of smuggling against the accused and started an investigation.
