‘Kisi ke character pe baat karna ek bohat bari beemari hai’: Shagufta Ejaz
Veteran Pakistani actress Shagufta Ejaz has requested her fans to stop talking about people behind their backs and end the desire to be endlessly curious about someone else’s private life, the actress has reflected on the toxicity of it all and how strongly it has been prohibited by the Almighty.
During the span of the video clip circulating on social media, Shagufta stated that when we talk about someone’s character or gossip negatively about someone in front of people behind their backs, that is backbiting and Allah has strongly condemned such behaviour in the Quran, comparing it to consuming the flesh of your dead brother.
She raises a very wise point, Shagufta reflected upon how when we do something wrong for the first time, we are hesitant about it. The second time, we feel a little less hesitant about it and soon after we start acting upon the habit with comfort and assurance justifying it with all the wrong reasons.
The senior artist asks her followers that why is there the constant need to have curiosity about what is happening in other people’s life, continuously thinking about if someone has been divorced or has settled matters, even the emotions of getting curious about other people’s personal affairs is prohibited in our religion. You should only be interested in things which others want to reveal about themselves and not ask questions about their personal life.

Here are the exacts words uttered by Shaguta during her latest declaration: “Jab hum kisi ke character par baat karte hain jab hum kisi ki burai karte hain wo bhi doosron ke saamne wo gheebat hoti hai aur Quran mein Allah tala farmate hain ke ye itna bura hai jaise hum apnay murda bhai ka gosht kha rahe hain aur ek waqt ata hai shuroo mein jab app pheli dafa koi kaam karte hain tou bura lagta hai uske baad thora kam bura lagta hai aur uske baad kami barti jati aur app us cheez ko comfortably karne lagte hain aur phir uske baad app usko justify karne lagte hain aur app ke paas ek hazar reasons shaitaan dalta hai apke dimagh mein kisi talaaq hoi kiski sulah hoi Allah kehte hain ke tajasus karna ghuna hai utna hi app jante ho jitna koi appko wo batata hai isliay humein bohat se sawaal nahi poochne chaye.”
