At least two persons died and one other fell unconscious due to gas leakage at a residence in Sabzi Mandi in Islamabad on the night between Friday and Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The incident took place at Sabzi Mandi Police Station, where some friends used to live together after hiring an apartment. 

The deceased have been identified as Syed Mohammad and Ijaz. 

After being informed about the mishap, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead bodies to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences.  They also shifted the injured Abdul Samad to the hospital in critical condition. 

Police said that the three friends worked in the same shop. The sad incident took place because they had slept while keeping the gas open.
