The Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) will remain closed for 16 days next month in order to execute some repair work, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

The Civil Aviation Authority on Saturday issued a notification regarding closure of the Sialkot airport. As per the notification, the SIAL will remain closed from Dec 5 to Dec 20.

According to Sialkot airport manager, the airport is being closed in order to carry out repair work on its runway. 

However, the Lahore and Islamabad airports could be used as alternative airports.
