PCB declines Bangladesh’s offer for December T20 tri-series

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has turned down Bangladesh’s proposal to participate in a T20 tri-nation series scheduled for December, citing player workload and prior commitments of key players.

According to sources, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had extended an invitation to Pakistan for the tri-series, which was to feature Sri Lanka as the third team.

However, the PCB decided against accepting the offer to ensure that national players receive adequate rest following a busy cricketing calendar.

Sources further revealed that several leading players, including Shaheen Afridi and Babar Azam, have already committed to playing in Australia’s Big Bash League during December, making it impractical for Pakistan to field a full-strength squad for the proposed series.
