Election Commissioner announces holding LG polls on Oct 23 

Provincial Election Commissioner Sindh has announced the holding of by-elections and Local Government polls in Karachi at a scheduled time.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the by-elections in Karachi will be held on October 16 while the LG elections on October 23.
The provincial election commissioner instructed District Returning Officers (DROs), DMOs, District Election Commissioners, ROs and MOs to complete election arrangements.
He directed the concerned officials that all possible steps should be taken to ensure the holding of the election and should also play their role in transparent elections.
