People in Lahore using ATMs, credit cards and online banking must remain cautious as the city is on the hit list of hackers and those involved in banking crimes as evident by the statistics which say that the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) cyber crime wing has so far received more than 22, 000 complaints of financial crimes this year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

According to the FIA’s record, which 24News managed to obtain, out of these, 7, 308 complaints were those related to the hacking of ATM machines and credit cards.

The wing, however, registered only 253 cases and arrested 363 persons.

The record further tells that most of these crimes were committed after the people provided their banking details.
