Two die as 392 more dengue cases emerged in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Two dengue patients died in Peshawar bringing the season's death toll in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to 12, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.
The province also reported 392 new cases of the disease appeared in last 24 hours with 180 case recorded from Peshawar alone.
The health department said that a total of 12,460 mosquito-borne infection cases have been reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, of which 9,979 have been successfully treated.
On the other side, at least 625 dengue fever patients are being treated at the PIMS hospital in Islamabad, along with 81 patients at CDA Capital Hospital and 114 patients at Polyclinic Hospital, meanwhile 101 more dengue infection cases were detected in the capital within 24 hours.
According to District Health Officer (DHO), the mosquito-borne disease has killed 7 people and Islamabad saw a tally of 3,343 cases in this season. Of them, 1,960 cases were from rural areas while 1,383 were from urban locality.
The DHO statistics also reveal that, out of 101 dengue cases reported in a single day, 55 cases were from rural areas and 46 cases were from urban areas.
