Another eight PIA flights cancelled from Karachi Airport

Another eight flights of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) were cancelled on Thursday due to apparent mismanagement and shortage of fuel, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The travellers faced difficulties on daily basis as on Wednesday a number of flights were also cancelled.

The flights which were shelved on Thursday were Karachi-Turbat flights PK-501 and PK-502, Karachi-Lahore flights PK-302 and PK-303, Karachi-Quetta flights PK-310 and PK-311 and Karachi-Islamabad flights PK-368 and PK-369.

An eight-hour delay is feared in PIA flight PK-247 from Lahore to Damam. Karachi-to-Dubai flight PK208 is facing a delay of seven hours whereas Lahore-to-Riyadh flight PK-725 is expected to take off nine hours and 25 minutes behind its scheduled time.

PIA flight PK-742 coming from Jeddah to Islamabad will land one and a half hour late.

Flight from Madinah also faces long delay

PIA flight PK-748 coming to Lahore from Madinah faced a delay of six hours.

Carrying Umrah pilgrims, the Boeing-777 flight which was due to land at Allama Iqbal International Airport at 6am took off from Madinah at 7am Pakistani time.
