Pakistan says strikes focused on India-backed militants, not Afghan civilians
Security sources said the recent Afghan aggression and Pakistan’s response should not in any way be seen as a war between the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan; rather, this is a fight specifically against India-backed disruptive elements operating inside Afghanistan.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, security sources also made clear that Pakistan’s retaliatory strikes will be directed only at the hideouts, training centres, and those elements who are fomenting war against Pakistan.
They said the alleged Afghan aggression is being carried out with financial backing from India, and the assaults have been effectively purchased with Indian money.
Security sources stressed that Pakistan does not intend to target the Afghan people or civilian sites, saying the aggression is imposed by the Afghan interim administration, the Afghan Taliban, and extremist Khawarij-style terrorist groups.
