ECP unsatisfied with replies of Imran, Asad, Fawad in contempt cases

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has declared the replies of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and other leaders in the contempt cases unsatisfactory.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, PTI central leadership including Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry filed their replies against the cases of contempt of the ECP and the chief election commissioner on Monday but the commission did not accept it.
The channel report said that the Election Commission issued the show-cause notices to Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry on Monday.
The ECP has summoned Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry to the Commission’s office in their personal capacity on September 27, 2022.
Earlier today, Imran Khan filed a written reply in the ECP and took a stand that the commission's notice is against the Constitution.
He said in the reply that he did not contempt of the Election Commission. He also said that the Election Commission has no jurisdiction to hear the contempt cases and the ECP Secretary is also not authorized to send notice to him in this regard.
