While hearing a petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Abdul Shakoor Shad against the acceptance of his resignation, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) Monday remarked that the notification of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) was suspended for Abdul Shakoor, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

“The petitioner was Abdul Shakoor Shad, and therefore, the notification is suspended for one Member of Parliament only,” the court explained.

IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the petition of Abdul Shakur Shad and said, “The notification was not suspended for all the members who resigned.”

The counsel of Abdul Shakoor Shad told the court that the ECP had issued a notification for 11 Members of Parliament.

“Yes! But this notification is suspended for one member only,” the IHC chief justice replied and adjourned the hearing of the case.
