New bench of LHC to hear Maryam’s passport case on Wednesday

A new bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) will hear the passport case of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, LHC Chief Justice (CJ) Muhammad Ameer Bhatti will head the 3-member bench to hear Maryam’s case.
LHC Justice Ali Baqer Najafi and Justice Tariq Saleem Shaikh will also be a part of newly constituted the 3 member bench to hear Maryam Nawaz's miscellaneous application on September 14.
After the approval of the Chief Justice of the LHC, a new three-member full bench was formed on the separate application of Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
Earlier, the two-member bench was dissolved on September 8, 2022, as LHC Justice Anwar-ul-Haq recused himself from the bench to hear the case.
