Due to heavy rain that was lashing Karachi airport on Monday, an Airblue plane coming from Islamabad could not land here and was diverted to the Multan airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

According to details, the Karachi-bound Airblue flight PA 201 coming from Islamabad faced difficulty while landing at Karachi airport due to heavy sleet. The pilot made several attempts to safely land the airbus at the airport but all in vain.

Seeing this, the air traffic controller instructed the pilot to take his plane to Multan airport in order to avert any eventuality.
