Yet another shock to inflation-hit people as electricity tariffs up by Rs4.34

The federal government on Monday dropped another electricity bomb on the masses as it increased the power tariff by Rs4.34 per unit.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification of the new burden of electricity prices on the people.
As per NEPRA, the increase will have an additional burden of Rs59 billion on electricity consumers.
The notification said that the increase was made in the context of July’s monthly fuel adjustment and the additional recovery from the consumers will be done in the September bills.

as per the notification, the new price will not apply to the K-Electric and Lifeline Consumers.
