Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks are engaged after 6 years together
Liam Hemsworth and Gabriella Brooks have officially announced their engagement, marking a rare public moment for the couple who have largely kept their relationship out of the spotlight over the past six years.
The 35-year-old actor and 29-year-old model shared the happy news on Friday, when Brooks posted a series of photos to Instagram — including a close-up shot of her stunning square-cut diamond bezel ring. One black-and-white image showed Gabriella with her arms wrapped around Liam’s chest, the diamond ring clearly visible on her left hand.
She kept the caption simple, posting just a single white heart emoji. The comments section quickly filled with well-wishes from friends and fans alike.
British swimmer Ross Edgley celebrated the moment with: “YESSSS!! ENGAGEMENT GAINZ! MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU AND THE BIG RIG.”
Model and presenter Lisa Snowden added: “Love you guys. Congratulations.”

Gabriella — who has worked with major brands such as Calvin Klein and Topshop — reportedly met Liam in late 2019, shortly after he returned to Australia following his high-profile split from ex-wife Miley Cyrus.
The couple’s understated announcement is in line with the private nature of their relationship. In a 2021 interview with Stellar magazine, Brooks expressed her desire to keep their romance away from the public eye.
“My personal relationship is very, very important and very sacred to me,” she shared. “And I feel like in an industry where so much is put out on show, there are some things you just want to keep to yourself. I completely understand [the interest in our relationship]. But at the end of the day, I guess I just like having that for me.”
Interestingly, just last year a source claimed that the couple had “no plans on getting married anytime soon,” noting Liam’s cautious approach following his previous marriage to Cyrus, now 32.
