In the wake of spurt in cases of novel coronavirus in different parts of the world, actress, host Sanam Jung raised awareness about the highly contagious virus and urged people to donate for the emergency.

The actress took to Instagram to spread the word about the global pandemic.

She wrote: “Today, with Covid-19 crisis, the doctors at Indus Hospital are fighting at greater fronts than ever before, as they combat Corona Virus, they continue providing treatments to millions of underserved patients with life threatening diseases everyday .Help save precious life with your donations this Ramzan, open your heart -Be generous with your Zakaat.”

The total numbers of confirmed coronavirus cases in the country have reached to 5038.

These include 2425 in Punjab, 1318 in Sindh, 697 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 228 in Balochistan, 119 in Islamabad, 216 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 35 in Azad Kashmir.

According to National Command and Operation Centre, 37 patients are in critical condition while 61801 corona tests were conducted. 1026 patients of coronavirus have recovered.
