Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has appealed the PPP and the ANP to review their decisions about leaving the anti-government alliance and come up with mature decisions, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Maulana Fazl said that 10 parties of the PDM are united and wanted to take the movement ahead for greater cause. He clarified “PPP and ANP resignations have not been accepted yet and the PDM is giving them a chance to review their decision.”

“Sending the show-cause notice to both parties were our right but the attitude they adopted was not appropriate rather deplorable,” the PDM president said.

Fazl said, “The PDM was created for greater cause and not merely for few posts. We have surpassed very difficult situations and stages. We have come through very long for the democracy and politics.”

“All parties are equal before the PDM,” Fazl said, adding “Even both parties took decisions but we still look for their reasonable comeback into the PDM. People are with the PDM and will take big decisions accordingly,” the PDM supremo said.

Fazl said the PDM has an official organizational structure and all parties have hold equal status in the PDM. “The PDM has the right to seek clarification as per the organizational structure of the alliance,” Fazl said.

“Both parties could have demanded PDM meeting to seek clarification on the show-cause notice and both parties took hasty decision in comparison to their political stature,” he added.

“We were not expecting that they would accept ‘BAP’ as a father,” Fazl said.

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in a presser on Monday parted ways from the PDM alliance and rejected the show-cause notice sent by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Bilawal said PPP Central Executive Committee (CEC) has rejected the so-called show cause notice by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and directed all PPP office-bearers in PDM to submit their resignation with immediate effect.

The PPP CEC also demanded an unconditional apology for this obnoxious conduct.

“We must have a working relationship in opposition. There is no concept of show cause notices in PDM,” Bilawal said.
