Arrangements for the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) public gathering due to be held in Peshawar today are now in their final stages as 80 feet wide and 20 feet high stage has been set up on the Ring Road, chairs are being placed at the venue and security has also been tightened, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
A large screen will also be installed on the stage.
The public gathering, which is scheduled to start at 9:00 PM, will be the PTI’s first power show after the ouster of party’s government at Center as a result of a no-trust motion passed against it a few days ago.
Former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders will address the event.
DJ Butt has been tasked with installing and looking after the sound system, lighting and other arrangements.
PTI plans to hold its next rally in Karachi and Lahore in the coming days.
The start of mass contact campaign by the PTI immediately after its ouster is aimed at capitalizing on that popular support which the party has gained in recent days and to tell the people that a superpower had sponsored the opposition parties’ no-confidence motion.
