Drizzle and brief rain spell broke the intense heat in Punjab plains including Rahim Yar Khan while capital Islamabad received rain as well lowering the mercury on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The rain spell and strong winds provided respite to the people keeping fast. 

The weather in Karachi remained dry as western wind speed was 10 nautical miles per hour. The weather office predicted that maximum temperature will go up to from 34 to 36 center degrees.

Partly cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country on Tuesday and Wednesday (tomorrow), however, light rain/thunderstorm with gusty/dust raising winds is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper/central Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Westerly waves are present over upper/central parts of the country and may persist in upper parts till Thursday.

In the last 24 hours, rain-winds/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Punjab.

Monday's highest maximum temperature’s (°C): Sibbi 46, Noor Pur Thal and D.I. Khan 44.
