JI chief announces nationwide strike in solidarity with Palestinians on April 22

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan chief Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman addressed the Gaza March, a protest held to express solidarity with Palestinians reeling under Israeli offensive, in Karachi on Sunday.

Addressing the mammoth gathering, Rehman announced a nationwide strike in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza on April 22.

The party leader stated that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and "even today, Israel cannot stand against Hamas".

He also urged the rulers to raise their voices against Israel, adding that "the barbarism in Gaza has exposed the true face of Western leaders".

"Even in the US, 50% of people support Palestine," he claimed.
