KP CM announces grand PTI rally in Mardan on April 19

Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced that a major political rally will be held in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on April 19, following directives from Imran Khan.

Addressing party supporters, the chief minister said the rally will take place at the Mardan Railway Ground at 3 pm. He added that the plan was finalised on the instructions of the PTI founder, who had called for organising a public gathering in the province within 10 days.

Afridi criticised the incarceration of Imran Khan and his spouse, Bushra Bibi, terming it unjust. He alleged that the leadership of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has faced sustained oppression and mistreatment over the past several years.

Despite these challenges, the chief minister expressed confidence in the party’s popularity, stating that the April 19 rally would demonstrate that PTI remains the largest political force in the country. He further claimed that the event would send a strong message that Imran Khan continues to command significant public support even while in jail.

Afridi also accused political opponents and certain digital platforms of running negative campaigns to undermine the rally. He urged supporters to reject such propaganda and ensure massive participation.

“In Imran Khan’s absence, we will convey to him that the nation still stands with him,” Afridi said, inviting people from across Pakistan to attend the gathering in large numbers.
