Parents can apply children’s B-Form online via Pak ID app

Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced new rules for issuing Child Registration Certificates (commonly known as B-Forms), 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday.

Under the updated rules, parents can now apply for their children’s B-Forms from home using the “Pak ID” mobile application, reducing the need for in-person visits to NADRA registration centres.

According to a statement, the new framework introduces age-based documentation requirements.

For children up to the age of three, submission of a photograph is no longer mandatory.

However, once a child reaches three years of age, a photograph is required to obtain the certificate.

NADRA has also strengthened biometric requirements for older minors.

For children aged 10 to 18, applicants must now provide a photograph, fingerprints, and iris scans, all verified through NADRA’s biometric authentication system.

The move comes in response to growing demand from parents and educational institutions, which frequently require B-Forms for student registration and examinations.
