Transgender persons to get single-dose vaccine in Sindh

The Sindh health department has decided to administer the Covid-19 vaccine to the transgender community. They will be administered single-dose vaccine, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources said on Friday that the Sindh health department in its endeavor to slow down the spread of coronavirus has decided to inoculate the members of transgender community. They will be administered the single-dose vaccine. They do not need to show their ID cards for getting the vaccine jab.
The vaccine camps will be set up near the houses of transgenders and they would be informed about the importance of being vaccinated.
The provincial government is afraid that the transgender community might become the super spreader of Covid-19.
According to 2017 population census, the total population of transgender community is 10,418. But according to a general estimation, the total number of transgender people living in Sindh is around 0.5 million.
