A devastating fire broke out in a private bank on Qaboola Road in Arifwala, reducing property worth millions of rupees to ashes, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
The blaze destroyed furniture, computer systems, records, and other valuables while also causing significant structural damage to the building due to its intense heat.
According to the TV channel report, the fire erupted suddenly inside the private bank and quickly spread, engulfing the entire building.
Rescue 1122 teams from across the district fought the flames for an extended period before finally bringing the situation under control.
According to the bank’s security guard, the fire was caused by a short circuit, which spread rapidly.
A bank employee said that an assessment of the total losses is currently underway.
