Machine Gun Kelly marked a major milestone in his daughter Casie’s life this summer, surprising her with her dream first car for her 16th birthday, but not without delivering a humorous yet pointed piece of advice.
The 35-year-old rapper and rocker, whose real name is Colson Baker, presented Casie with a sleek black Acura TLX in July, complete with a giant red bow on top.
The special moment was captured in a viral fan video shared on X (formerly Twitter), where the teenager beams with excitement while checking out her new ride.
Despite the fanfare, MGK had one rule for his daughter: “Don’t drive like your dad.”
The Cliché hitmaker quipped about the mid-range luxury sedan, which ranges from $45,400 to $62,000, according to Business Insider, saying, “I don’t know why it’s her dream car, but it’s her dream car.” The choice reflects a relatively modest purchase for the musician, whose net worth is estimated at $25 million.

Casie, however, won’t be hitting the road solo just yet. Like any new driver, she’ll have to pass her driving exam before getting her license. MGK joked in the clip, “It runs in the family, dude. We can’t get a license to save our lives.”
The Bloody Valentine star shares Casie with his former partner Emma Cannon, and she has been a regular presence at his red carpet events over the years. He became a father for the second time earlier this year when he welcomed a baby girl, Saga Blade Fox-Baker, with ex-girlfriend Megan Fox.
Speaking on the Today show’s 8 Before 8 video series in July, MGK revealed that he was responsible for naming his younger daughter. “Well, I lost the first one and won the second one,” he joked, explaining that as an 18-year-old he had pitched naming Casie simply “Kid.” Unsurprisingly, the idea didn’t go over well. “I get why she’s like, ‘Hey man, shut up,’” he laughed.
The rapper’s lighthearted parenting moment with Casie quickly resonated with fans, who praised the father-daughter bond and his willingness to let her choose a car that truly made her happy.
