Private college van kidnapped in Chunian, police arrest culprits

A private college van was kidnapped at gunpoint near Chunian in Kasur which overturned due to high speed, leaving several girl students injured, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel. 

According to eyewitnesses, three armed men stopped the college van and pulled the driver out of the wagon at gunpoint and one of their accomplices drove the wagon along with the female students towards their camp. Due to overspending, driver lost control and turned turtle resultantly several girls got injured. 

A passers-by called the relatives of the injured students, who informed the police about the incident at 15. Police took immediate action and shifted the students to the hospital for medical assistance. One student was referred to Lahore due to her critical condition.

Later police raided the kidnappers camp and successfully recovered the driver. Two accused were arrested, while one managed to escape. 

Allahabad police registered a case and launched a search operation for the arrest of third accomplice. 

Riaz Singha, DSP Chunian said that all accused will be severely punished over hooliganism.
