FM Bilawal Bhutto to undertake week-long visit to US from Dec 14
Will also hold talks with UN secretary-general in New York
Foreign Minister and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will pay a week-long official visit to the United States from December 14 (Wednesday), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
During his week-long visit which will end on December 21, Bilawal Bhutto will host and chair the Ministerial Conference of G-77 and China, in New York, said a statement issued by the Foreign Office in Islamabad.
The agenda of the Conference includes discussion on multiple challenges facing the developing countries in attaining the sustainable development goals in the face of Covid-19 pandemic, climate-induced disasters and geopolitical developments.
The Pakistani foreign minister will also meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and participate in a high-level debate at the UN Security Council on the theme of Maintenance of International Peace and Security: New Orientation for Reformed Multilateralism.
Bilawal Bhutto will also hold meetings with high-level US government officials, Congressional leaders, Pakistani-American businessmen, and community members in Washington.
