Pakistan will play their second T20I match against South Africa at Centurion today as stakes were high for the tourists to salvage the three-match series which the hosts were already leading, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

South Africa had won the first T20I match, taking lead of 1-0 in the series.

South Africa's fast bowler Anrich Nortje's was ruled out of the remainder of the Twenty20 series and three One-Day Internationals against Pakistan due to fracture in his leg.

All-rounder Dyan Galam will replace him for the remaining matches against Pakistan.

Earlier, on December 10, 2024 South Africa beat Pakistan by 11 runs in the first T20I of the three-match series at the Kingsmead Stadium. Pakistan could score 172 runs in their 20 overs at the loss of eight wickets.

Skipper Muhammad Rizwan's 74 runs off 62 balls could not get Pakistan over the line in the chase of the 184-run target set by the South African team. Saim Ayub scored quickfire 31 off 15 balls.
