Raja Rizwan Abbasi wins Pakistan Bar Council seat from Islamabad
Raja Rizwan Abbasi has emerged winner in the unofficial results after securing three out of five votes cast in the elections for the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) seat from Islamabad held on Saturday, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to election details, a total of five votes were polled by members of the Islamabad Bar Council.
The contest was held between the two candidates for membership of the Pakistan Bar Council from Islamabad.
All five eligible members of the Islamabad Bar Council exercised their right to vote.
Those were included Abdul Rehman Har Bajwa, Raja Aleem Abbasi, Hafizullah Yaqoob, Muhammad Zafar Khokhar, and Asif Irfan.
Raja Rizwan Abbasi received three votes, while his rival candidate, Syed Qamar Hussain Shah Sabzwari Advocate, secured two votes.
Election officials said the results are non-final and subject to formal notification by the relevant authorities.
The polling process remained peaceful and was conducted in accordance with established electoral procedures.
The Pakistan Bar Council is the apex regulatory body for lawyers in the country.
