Registration period of private schools across Punjab to be extended for five years

The Punjab government has decided to extend registration period of thousands of private schools across Punjab by four years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

According to report, after extending the period by four years, registration will be issued for five years.

Earlier, private schools were issued registration for only one year.

Extension of registration will make it easier for private schools to get affiliation with education boards.

A representative of a private school from all districts will be included in the registration committee.

Work has been started on a summary by the School Education Department for extension of registration period.

The summary for extension of registration will be formally forwarded to the Chief Minister of Punjab.

After approval of the summary, registration of the private schools will be issued for five years.
