Mohsin Naqvi issues directives to ensure best arrangements for mega event
Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has issued directives to ensure foolproof security and the best arrangements of PSL, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.
Effective management should be done to maintain the flow of traffic during the matches, he directed adding that motorists should not be left in the lurch and the public should be informed about the alternative routes in time.
He said while presiding over a meeting on arrangements for the Pakistan Super League.
The chief minister directed the proper measures should be adopted to curtail profiteering in the stadium, and on-duty police personnel should be provided with quality.
He stressed that the best arrangements should be made for the mega event so that a peaceful and safe environment could be provided to the cricket fans.
The chief minister was briefed that a total of 8,500 policemen will be on duty in Multan, Rawalpindi and Lahore. The Punjab chief secretary, police chief, additional chief secretary and other officials concerned attended the meeting.
